Monthly PTO Meeting May 21st, 7pm via Zoom Only

Update: due to concerns of potential severe weather this evening we’re moving the meeting from hybrid to virtual only.

The next regular monthly AMS PTO meeting — and the last meeting of the ’23-’24 school year — will be held on Tuesday, May 21st, 2024 at 7pm.

On April 16, 2024, the PTO Board of Directors appointed the following members to the following roles on the PTO Board of Directors for the remainder of the current term expiring October 1st, 2024:

  • Brandy Cunningham, Co-Secretary
  • Lauren Loonsfoot, Co-President
  • Anne Stoever Garcia, Co-Treasurer

Per PTO bylaws, a vote to confirm these appointments will be taken at the next regular member meeting on May 21, 2024. Any PTO member interested in serving in any of these positions is encouraged to attend our next meeting and self-nominate. All AMS parents/guardians and currently employed AMS staff members are automatically PTO members, may serve on the Board of Directors, and may vote.

Current agenda items:

  • Approve meeting minutes from 2024-04-16.
  • Vote on new board position appointments: Co-president, Co-secretary, Co-treasurer
  • ‘24-’25 fundraising options. PoP/99 Pledges/other?
  • Storage Closet Cleanout Day – June 3rd/4th/5th?
    • Also have ~20 years of records to sift through.
  • Weekly PTO mail separate from AMS Friday announcements
  • Funding requests
    • Band – Instruments?
  • Co-treasurer report
  • Co-secretary report
